Can I just say how much I love animation?
I might post one without the gesture over the weekend, at first I really didn't like it with the gesture, but I kind of do now. I am so done with it all for today though haha.
(*changed the timing to make it flow better!)
(**I didn't like how it just ended so I used the same images to make it go backwards as well!)

The fluidity of the animation is practically spot on. Your gesture gives a sense of depth, especially around the fingers. The hand looks believable, and gives me the impression that your hand proportions are really like this. Looking closer it appears that you also added muscle movements which makes sense due to the movement of the fingers and hand.
ReplyDeletethis is really neat. your gesture layer reads to me like the actual anatomy of a hand. your commitment to the drawings works very well and i can appreciate the attention you placed to your internal structure. very medical very cool.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great piece. To me it looks like or reminds me of playing the piano, which I think is really cool. It is done very well. It looks like a hand and even though there's no value it still looks really good. I think the movement of the animation is perfect for this piece and fits well. I'm conflicted about the gestural lines, however, I feel that they look good in the piece but at first seeing this I felt they were not really needed. But all together it's really good.
ReplyDeleteThe movement of the hand is spot on! your mark making in the hand adds to the movement and also, the weight of the line on the perimeter of the hand works well with the overall gesture. This is a really great animation!
